Duane ‘Keffe D’ Davis Arrested in Tupac Shakur Murder Case After 2018 Confession

A man from Las Vegas has been arrested and charged in connection with the shooting that led to the death of Tupac Shakur in 1996. Duane ‘Keffe D’ Davis was arrested on Friday morning, officially charged with murder and being the mastermind behind the operation.

In July, the Las Vegas police had searched Davis’ home. The search warrant was undoubtedly the most significant development in an unsolved murder case for years. Despite numerous investigations, books, and rather wild conspiracy theories emerging over the years, the police seemed to have made very little progress in solving the case.

Davis was certainly present at the crime scene, sitting in the front seat of the white Cadillac that approached Tupac’s car to open fire.

Davis has long claimed not to be one of the killers, instead stating that his cousin Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson was the one who killed Shakur. Anderson, who was named as the prime suspect in a wrongful death lawsuit filed by Tupac’s mother, Afeni Shakur, was killed two years later in 1998 in a gang-related shooting in Compton.
